MEET OUR FOUNDER: JANE C. ANDREWS, MS, PH.D. & CEO
Dr. Andrews is a recognized leader in Life Sciences, Regenerative Medicine, and Cell Therapy industries. Over the years, she’s owned and built businesses, laboratories, and organizations and held numerous positions including Senior Global Healthcare & Life Science Consultant for Frost & Sullivan. Dr. Andrews has also helped clients ranging from Big Pharma, CDMOs, to academic investigators, with their business strategies, market positioning, product development, and competitive intelligence.
As a Scientist, Dr. Andrews worked for over 20 years developing cell-based assays, creating chemically defined culture systems, and studying the biochemistry and physiology of mammalian sperm, eggs, and embryos.
She’s held academic and corporate positions including:
Assistant Professorships, Senior Staff Scientist at the Audubon Center for Research of Endangered Species,
NASA Senior Scientist (Lockheed Martin Space Operations and Science Systems and Applications)
Senior Director of Mid-sized biotechnology, blood bank, and Biomanufacturing company.
Dr. Andrews also lectures frequently to professional groups, including the World Stem Cell Summit (US 2013 - 2020), Mixii Bio (Israel, 2017), and The World Advanced Therapies & Regenerative Medicine Congress & Expo in London (2019). She has earned awards for her work with NASA, as well as honorarium from NIH and The Smithsonian Institute, and has written numerous published papers and proprietary reports on her work over the years. Jane received her BS, MS, and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, followed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Pennsylvania State University.
In her spare time, Dr. Andrews and her husband are Ranchers in Texas. They raise Reining Horses and breed Australian Shepherds, and actively compete in National Reining Horse Association Shows.

Steven Schmid: Ph.D., Principal Consultant, Cell Bridge Strategies, LLC
Dr. Schmid has 30 years of experience in FDA relations, involving new drug development in Oncology and cell-based therapies. He has directed numerous drug development laboratories, a flow cytometry facility, worked extensively as a Marketing and Sale Liaison, and served as both COO and CSO for leading Biotechnology companies.
He’s written and participated in IND, NDA, and BLA submissions that were approved for cancer therapeutics. He’s conducted eCTD submissions for cancer therapeutics, managed GLP and GMP Laboratories in Cell Biology and Immunology, run discovery and barrier vivarium’s and has held a DEA license. Areas of investigation and drug development include pharmaceuticals, biosimilars, cell therapy, exosomes, and tissues. Dr. Schmid has participated in GMP audits for companies including DOW Chemical, and in CLIA Audits in the US and Europe. He received his BS and MA from Drake University, Des Moines, IA, a Ph.D. in Microbiology/V

Rick Stockton, Principal Consultant, Cell Bridge Strategies
Rick is also Designer and Principal at J. R. Stockton Consulting, LLC. Rick’s background in process engineering, manufacturing, and device design makes him an ideal fit for Cell Bridge Strategies clients, that are undergoing facility and new product design and/or scale-up. His innate conceptual abilities allow him to visualize the process and task at hand and create the best three-dimensional solutions for buildout, equipment design and validation.
